As of Saturday, April 12th, the kidney dialysis company has discovered the attack which has affected the DaVita intranet – DaVita then activated its incident response plans and isolated affected systems with patient care continuing as usual.
According to sources on the web, the DaVita intranet has been affected by ransomware. The full scope and impact of the attack remains unknown, however, DaVita has activated its backup systems and other processes helping the company deal with the fallout. DaVita has also contacted law enforcement.
According to sources on the web, no ransomware groups claim responsibility for the attack, however, according to Hudson Rock, DaVita‘s staff have previously been compromised by infostealer attacks.
Regardless, DaVita intranet is still functioning and patients are receiving the necessary care.
